OMIK Ladies' Auxillary

Ladies Auxiliary

About

The OMIK Ladies Auxiliary, which operates under the umbrella of the OMIK Amateur Radio Association, Inc., was established in 1985 with the purpose of planning convention activities for ladies who were not HAM operators.

Through the years, more ladies have become interested in the advancement of amateur radio; therefore, the Auxiliary has grown to include all ladies, those who are not amateur radio operators and those who are amateur radio operators.

The Ladies Auxiliary supports OMIK Amateur Radio Association and its partner organization, the OMIK Scholarship Fund, by encouraging convention attendance and participation, motivating youth to aspire to higher goals in their respective fields, planning informational workshops that are relevant to ladies, donating to charitable organizations in convention host cities, and planning fun activities for convention attendees.
